Georgian territory may be used as transit for supplying military cargo to Afghanistan, Richard Holbrooke, Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan in Obama administration stated in the course of his visit to Georgia.

As NEWS.am reported earlier, January 29, Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili offered U.S. to use Georgian territory and transport infrastructure as a transfer station for supplying military cargo to Afghanistan.

Saakashvili underlined that Georgia is ready to open up opportunities for Western warships to use Black Sea ports and allow military transport aircrafts to land in local airports for refueling.
