Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov is making self-contradicting statements on Madrid Principles, ARFD member and head of Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs Hrayr Karapetyan told NEWS.am.

“I do not understand Mammadyarov’s stance, when hear him speaking of referendum in Nagorno-Karabakh and meanwhile stating impossibility of other solution to Karabakh conflict except for in territorial integrity of Azerbaijan,” MP stressed. “How can people be imposed a decision through a referendum?” Karapetyan wonders.
According to him, by its statements and actions Baku seeks to defeat the process and delude world community.

MP also commented on statement by Turkish Premier Erdogan, that if needed Armenians will be deported from Turkey, which makes urgent the recognition of Genocide by international community and Ankara in particular. “The statement once again proves that there is an Armenian Genocide threat in present Turkey, thus world community should pressurize Ankara to recognize Genocide,” he added.

Turkey carries out global blackmail policy that should be assessed by Europe, U.S. and Russia accordingly, the politician deems. Referring to the current situation, Karapetyan emphasized that Turkey found itself in the mire and is caught in its own trap.
