On April 30, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said talks on Middle East peace process will resume next week, msnbc website reports.

According to her, presently the negotiations are indirect, as U.S. officials meet one side at one haul and there are not planned talks between Israel and Palestine at the same table.

U.S. seeks to see direct negotiations on the peace process and for that purpose, Special to the Middle East for Obama Administration George Mitchell will arrive in the region, Clinton stated.

An attempt to resume talks froze when Israel announced a new housing project in eastern part of Jerusalem, which Palestinians claim as a future capital, the source says.
