A fifteen-year student from Quebec William Gaduri discovered the city Maya lost in Yucatan jungles. He made his with the help of satellite images from the Canadian Space Agency (CSA), reports Lenta with a reference to The Independent.

Gaduri was able to discover the city by comparing the Mayan star cards with a map of their largest settlements . It turned out that the majority of the cities (about 120 )match with 22 constellations. In addition, the student discovered a new part of the celestial sphere formed with three stars , two matching the cities .

Gaduri concluded that the third star also matches a Mayan settlement, and he asked the CSA to provide satellite images of the area. The satellite images he received revealed elements of the anthropogenic relief, resembling remains of the ancient city. The Canadian student called the settlement he found K'aak Chi, which means " Mouth of Fire ."

The city he found is considered to be the fourth largest among the known Mayan settlements and covers an area of over 100 square kilometers. There is a 86 meters pyramid within the settlement, as well as several other constructions . It is yet not possible to check the veracity of the student’s discovery – the Mayan city is situated in almost impassable places of Yucatan jungles.
