The number of the injured inn a road accident following  NASCAR race at Martinsville Speedway, Virginia, rose to 22, USA Today Sport reported.

“Update: 22 people have been injured after a motorist drove through a crowd after the race at Martinsville Speedway. No one was kille”, USA Today Sport reporter Jeff Gluck tweeted.

Earlier it was reported about ten of those affected.

The incident occurred on Sunday. The driver who was coming back home after NASCAR race, tried to pass a Jeep while waiting in post-race traffic, then struck a crowd of pedestrians.
