YEREVAN. – The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) respects the new union of opposition parties, and all the other opposition. 

National Assembly Vice President and RPA Spokesperson, Eduard Sharmazanov, on Wednesday told the aforesaid to reporters in Parliament.

In his words, however, the recently signed union between the opposition Bright Armenia, Civil Contract, and Republic Parties may not be the only one, and new ones also may appear in the lead-up to the parliamentary election slated for April 2017.

As per Sharmazanov, the RPA is ready for a free and level competition, regardless of who is heading which political force.

“We respect all of them,” he assured.
