YEREVAN. – Armenia will simplify the procedure of obtaining citizenship for Armenian children from abroad, the Cabinet decided on Thursday.
According to the bill, Armenian child whose parents are not citizens of Armenia has the right to get citizenship, if he is a permanent resident and has registration in the country, deputy chief of Armenia’s police Vardan Yeghiazaryan said.
If one of the parents is a citizen of Armenia, his or her consent is enough for getting a passport for a child.
