Even though the ski resorts in Armenia and Georgia can appeal to Russian skiers, the respective infrastructure needs to develop.

Margarita Turchaninova, the executive director of a Georgian travel agency, told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“I have been to Armenia’s [ski] resorts,” she added. “Snow is good, of course. But what will you do in the evening? The same problem is in [the Georgian ski resort of] Gudauri. Russian [ski] resorts, however, have gone ahead in this sense.

“Of course, this whole industry is not yet developed in Georgia and in Armenia. [But,] now, we plan to create such a thing in Gudauri; and the Armenian tour operators can do the same in Armenia.”
