YEREVAN. – Minister of Defense of Armenia, Vigen Sargsyan, on Wednesday received recently appointed Bulgarian Ambassador Maria Pavlova Tsosorkova-Kaymaktchieva.

They discussed Armenian-Bulgarian cooperation in the defense sector, and underscored the development of technico-military collaboration.

The Armenian defense minister lauded the current level of cooperation. Noting that Bulgaria is one of the first European countries to collaborate with Armenia in the defense sector, Sargsyan stressed the opportunities for enhancing cooperation, and highlighted the exchange of know-how in several domains.

Ambassador Tsosorkova-Kaymaktchieva, for her part, informed about Bulgaria’s willingness to develop cooperation with Armenia, and expressed the hope that the results of this collaboration will be visible in the near future.

The Armenian defense minister and the Bulgarian ambassador also discussed regional security issues.
