The methane explosion in Lviv region, 285 miles west of the capital Kiev, killed 8 miners and injured 6, reports channel 112. At the time of explosion there were 34 people working underground. About 20 other miners are unaccounted for. The rescuers are still brining out people from the mine. The president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko declared a Mourning Day in Ukrainian.
