Over 59 thousand tourists, who intended to fly home, are stranded at the international airport of Bali. This was reported by the official representative of the airport, DW reports.
Due to the eruption of Agung volcano, the airport is closed from the morning for 24 hours. The decision to close was made because the ash that ascended the air after the eruption of the volcano reached the airspace above the airport.
The administration of the air harbor canceled 445 flights.
The airplanes flying to Bali are turning back in the air and are flying to airports in Jakarta, Singapore and other cities.
