The oldest woman in the world, born April 6, 1894, Gertrude Baines died at 115 in L.A., California, Interfax reports.

Doctors say the death cause was a heart attack. According to them, she felt quite well two days before the death and even smiled frequently. Baines was recognized the oldest poller in the U.S. presidential elections, that voted for Barack Obama.

Baines claimed the title of the world’s oldest woman after 115-year-old woman, Maria de Jesus, died in Portugal in January, 2009.

The oldest person who has ever lived is Jeanne-Louise Calment, who died at the age of 122 in Arles, France.
