A forest fire broke out and a fire helicopter crashed in the Turkish port city of Marmaris, seriously injuring one person on board, Reuters reported.

Local governor Mugla's office said the fire broke out in the forests around the Yalancibogaz area. Winds blowing at 14 kilometers per hour fueled the blaze, the municipality of Mugla said. Fifteen helicopters and eight planes dropped water on the fire, while hundreds of people, dozens of water trucks and police water trucks worked on the ground to extinguish the fire.
