The military wing of the Palestinian group Hamas said on Sunday that its northern brigade commander Ahmed al-Ghandour and three other senior leaders were killed during the Israeli offensive, Al Arabiya reports.
According to the statement from Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigade, al-Ghandour was a member of their military council.
Ghandour was listed a “global terrorist of special interest” by the United States in 2017 and is said to have participated in numerous terrorist operations, including the 2006 attack on an Israeli military outpost.
