The North Atlantic alliance will increase its military presence in the Baltic Sea due to "possible sabotage of undersea cables," NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte wrote on X.
Rutte said that he held a phone conversation with Finland's President Alexander Stubb about the ongoing Finnish-led investigation into possible sabotage of undersea cables in the Baltic Sea.
“I expressed my full solidarity and support. NATO will enhance its military presence in the Baltic Sea," added the NATO chief.
