UNICEF Georgia Communications officer Maya Kurtsikidze stated that 70% of children in the country suffer violence, Rezonansy reports.
According to her, violence against children is of both physical and psychological nature. Slaps, cuffs and other punishments are commonly used. Parents often do not realize that this “harmless” punishment negatively affects children’s state of mind.
