Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and billionaire Elon Musk were among the guests at the lavish White House dinner that US President Donald Trump hosted on Tuesday for Saudi Arabia’s crown prince Mohammed bin Salman, AFP reports.

Ronaldo plays for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr. He is one of the many international players the Kingdom has attracted in recent years. The 40-year-old forward, whose contract with the aforesaid Saudi club expires this summer, took his seat at Trump’s table before the US president and the Saudi crown prince entered.

But Ronaldo was not the only football-related guest at the dinner. FIFA president Gianni Infantino once again came to the White House for an event ahead of the 2026 World Cup, which the United States will co-host.

Also present at the festive dinner was Elon Musk, the owner of SpaceX and Tesla, which is apparently a sign that he has reconciled with the US president, AFP writes.

Musk, dressed in a tuxedo, was seen chatting with other guests around a candlelit table, although not at Trump’s table.
