US President Donald Trump has signed a law requiring the Department of Justice to declassify the full federal investigation records concerning the late financier Jeffrey Epstein within 30 days, Trump himself announced on Truth Social.

According to him, the disclosure of these documents will shed light on Epstein’s connections with several prominent politicians and entrepreneurs. The individuals he mentioned include former US President Bill Clinton, former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, LinkedIn co-founder and Democratic Party donor Reid Hoffman, as well as Minority Leader of the US House of Representatives, Hakeem Jeffries.

The bill, titled the “Epstein Files Transparency Act,” was prepared in July by two lawmakers from both parties: Republican Thomas Massie and Democrat Ro Khanna. The bill had stalled for a long time in the relevant committees until November 13, when a bipartisan group of legislators invoked the discharge petition procedure, which allows a measure to be put to a vote bypassing the standard process.

The House of Representatives on Tuesday passed the bill by a large majority. The Epstein Transparency Act was supported by 427 members, with only one member of Congress voting against it.

Trump stated that he is ready to allow the full release of the Epstein case if Congress approves it. However, he expressed concern that active discussion of the Epstein case could distract from the Republican Party’s achievements.
