The US administration expects Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to accept the peace plan developed by Washington by US Thanksgiving, which this year will be observed on November 27, Ukrainian officials familiar with the negotiations told the Financial Times (FT).
According to them, after that, US officials plan to present the peace agreement in Moscow so that the process of resolving the conflict can be completed by early December.
However, the Office of the President of Ukraine believes that it will not be possible to accomplish this within that timeframe, since the US plan contains several points that are considered “red lines” for Kyiv.
FT’s interlocutors added that they are working on counterproposals, which will soon be presented to the American side.
