Only the two-state principle will resolve the Middle East conflict, said top EU diplomat Federica Mogherini on January 22 at the EU Council meeting, TASS reported.
According to the diplomat, the European Union believes that only two-state solution will resolve the Middle East conflict through direct talks. EU will continue to work with America, particularly, within the Middle East Quartet of Mediators.
The EU foreign ministers will also meet with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who urged the European Union to recognize Palestine in response to the US decision on Jerusalem, said Mogherini.
