Russia has reached an agreement with Iran to begin producing kamikaze drones on its territory, the Washington Post claims, citing unnamed Western officials.

According to the publication, Russian and Iranian officials finalized the deal during a meeting in Iran earlier this month. The information is said to be based on new intelligence obtained by U.S. and other Western intelligence agencies.

Iran and Russia quickly began transferring designs and key components to begin production of the drones within months.
