The Rolls-Royce Ghost model will be sent to "rest" for the sake of the new Alpina sedan, reports Motor.ru.

According to insiders, after Alpina passes under the wing of BMW, the sub-brand will become an analogue of the Mercedes-Maybach, Car & Driver reported.

And the Rolls-Royce Ghost will no longer be manufactured to avoid domestic competition, and its alternative will be the Alpina B7.

Rolls-Royce will focus on exclusive supercars and develop the Specter line with a cabriolet, as well as limited editions for special orders a la Droptail.

The life cycle of the Rolls-Royce Ghost will end in 2029, according to BMW Blog.

And starting from 2030, this luxury carmaker will completely switch to electric motors.
