YEREVAN. - Armenia faces no mass infectious period at the moment, Armenia's Chief Infectionist Ara Asoyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am adding usually intestinal infections are wide-spread in summer.

The expert advised to eat food which is not for winter, to reduce meat and to increase vegetables and fruits consumption, as well as to drink yogurt. According to the head of the State Hygienic and Anti-Infectional department Artavazd Vanyan, this summer has registered small number of intestinal infections, which were mainly due to food factor.

He said that generally infections were reduced this year. The expert once again advised not to eat fruits and vegetable without first washing them, to keep meat in the refrigerator, not to do shopping in casual places, to wash hands frequently and to be careful while using the pools.
