YEREVAN. – Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan on Wednesday received the Asian Development Bank delegation (ADB) led by the Bank’s Vice President Xiaoyu Zhao.    

President Sargsyan highly assessed the ADB’s activities in Armenia and all through Asia alike, and expressed a hope that Zhao’s visit will stimulate the development of the Bank’s cooperation with Armenia, the President’s Press Office informs.  

In his turn, ADB Vice President assured that the Bank will continue its activities in Armenia. He noted that joint activities are underway, with the Armenian Government, toward construction of the North-South Road Corridor. The interlocutors stated that the materialization of this project, which is of key importance to Armenia’s economy, will considerably stimulate development in other domains, too.       

Also, they underscored the implementation, in Armenia, of ADB-supported investment programs—in the domains with prospects and in other domains which the Armenian Government considers as economic priorities for the country—which will be included in the strategic cooperation plan, which Armenia’s Government and the ADB will ratify.
