YEREVAN. – A reception was held Monday at Saint Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church in Buenos Aires. The event was held in honor of Armenia’s national schoolchildren’s team, which competed at the international mathematics olympiad held in Mar del Plata, Argentina, on July 4-16. 

Armenia’s Ambassador to Argentina, Vahagn Melikyan, and numerous representatives from the Argentinean-Armenian community attended the reception, MFA press service informs.   

Highly assessing the Armenian schoolchildren’s level of knowledge, Ambassador Melikyan congratulated the children and wished them success in their future endeavors. 

To note, Armenia’s schoolchildren are competing in international mathematics olympiads for the past twenty years, and, over the course of these years, they have amassed more than fifty medals and certificates. So far this year they have won one silver and two bronze medals.
