YEREVAN. – Nice looking and courteous female police officers soon will appear on the streets of Armenia’s Gyumri city as well, Hraparak daily reports.  

“We learned that during the operative consultation meeting [Armenia’s Police Chief] Vova Gasparyan instructed the Shirak Regional Police Chief and the Gyumri Police Chief to gather normal youth in order to open the ‘angel police officers’ branch in Gyumri.   

It is unknown as to how many courteous youth they will be able to enlist, especially since they do not have that much of a good reputation in Gyumri, and the Gyumri citizens hope that some representatives of the [local] police department are changed.     

Certainly, there always are downsizings in the [police] system, which [that is, the downsizings] are called a reduction of the inflated staff,” Hraparak writes.
