Turkish courts continue surprising people by their verdicts. This time it is a demand for the return of the former chief of the Police Investigation Department, who was relieved of his post after the assassination of Hrant Dink, Editor of the Agos newspaper.

CNNturk reported that Administrative Court #14 in Ankara returned a verdict on the return of Ramazan Akyürek, who was relieved of his post for not having prevented Hrant Dink’s assassination and failing to perform his duties.

Within 30 days after the court returned the verdict Ramazan Akyürek is to return to his post.

But the Turkish Ministry of the Interior will appeal the verdict.
