YEREVAN.- Representative of Armenia’s Ombudsman visited on Friday presidential candidate Andreas Ghukasyan who is holding a hunger strike in the center of Yerevan.
He promised to put up a tent which is necessary taking into account weather conditions. Ghukasyan said he would agree to a tent only if a decision permitting to provide tents to all those who are willing to hold 24/7 actions is made.
Ghukasyan has been on hunger strike since Monday. Presidential contenders Raffi Hovannisian—who heads the opposition Heritage Party—and Aram Harutyunyan—who leads the National Accord party—came to visit him on the first day of his hunger strike, and urged him to end the hunger strike so as not to harm his body.
