YEREVAN. – It is the second consecutive day that the exchange rate of the American national currency is on the rise at the financial market of Armenia.  

The dollar’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 408.68/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Friday; this is a 0.69-percent—or an AMD 2.79—increase from the previous trading session on Thursday and, also, one of the highest fluctuations over the course of the past one year.  

Friday’s sales totaled $2.8 million at the stock exchange.

At the cash foreign currency market of Armenia, the buying exchange rate of the US currency rose all the way to AMD 408/$1 at some exchange offices. As a rule, the selling is conducted at AMD 410/$1 or AMD 411/$1.
