YEREVAN.- Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan was present at the opening of exhibitions dedicated to St. Sarkis at the National Aesthetics Center of Armenia and in the Painters Union. The head of the government walked through the exhibitions and observed the presented works.
When congratulating the participants on the “Lovers Day” the prime minister noted:
“Many of you should remember that many years ago the Ararat Patriarchal Diocese tried to turn marking this holiday into a tradition. Every year this holiday is celebrated with more and more festivities in Armenia and more and more people take part in them. I am very glad that St. Sarkis holiday is being recovered as a national tradition and spreading throughout Armenia.”
Later, the prime minister participated in the even organized in the Lovers Park. The Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan also took part in the event.
