Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on Monday issued a congratulatory message to Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan and Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, on the occasion of the Army Day.

The address to President Sargsyan runs as follows:

“Being created at a crucial hour for our nation and having been tried in the crucible of war, the glorious Armenian army followed a victorious path, having protected our independence and freedom with dignity. Today it continues to steadfastly protect the inviolability of the Fatherland’s frontiers. Our army is our pride, the greatest achievement of the nation’s decade-long struggle.

And the fact that today we have a strong and a combat-ready army that corresponds to the present-day requirements is likewise due to your personal efforts and painstaking daily activities.

I once again congratulate you and the entire staff of Armenia’s Armed Forces on this memorable day, and wish you peace, great health, and great success for the glory of strengthening and the prosperity of the Armenian nation.”
