Armenia refused to accept Georgian Ushba alcohol company products, Business-Georgia agency reports referring to Ushba Distillers. The latter says that economic crisis forced Armenia to do so.

However, Ushba Production Manager Giorgi Iosava told NEWS.am that the company has not spread such information and export with Armenia is established. He said that Ushba supplies Armenia with Russian vodka, stored in Georgia: “Zelenaya Marka”, “Yamskaya”, “Zhuravli”, etc. According to Iosava, Georgian-Armenian export is maintained on schedule and as provided by the agreements.

Adamium company (Ushba Distillers’ partner in Armenia) was surprised hearing that Armenian side was offered Ushba. “It is only Georgian ‘Yamskaya’ that we import, at that we buy spirits from Russia,” Adamium press secretary informed NEWS.am.

As for other Armenian distributors – “Sovrano”, “Sargis-Carolina”, “Spirit Market”, “Noyan Tapan” – they have never heard of Ushba Distillers before.
