YEREVAN. – Azerbaijan’s petition to put the cooking traditions of the dolma dish on the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Intangible Cultural Heritage List as an element belonging to the “entire Turkic world,” is unfounded.

The Minister of Culture of Armenia, Armen Amiryan, told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am, and noted that dolma is an Armenian dish.

“Anyone can petition for this or that dish,” said the minister. “But the fact remains that it’s ours [i.e. Armenians].”
