YEREVAN. – Representatives of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Armenia (RA) on Monday met, at Zvartnots International Airport of capital city Yerevan, renowned Russian journalist Dmitry Kiselyov, who is the mouthpiece of Kremlin, reported Hraparak newspaper.
“He has arrived in Armenia this time with an important mission. Against the backdrop of the tension at the [Armenian-Azerbaijani] border, the Azerbaijani military exercises, he today [i.e. Tuesday] will interview [President] Serzh Sargsyan [of Armenia].
“The matter[, however,] is not only listening to the RA President’s view on geopolitical issues, but also keeping parity, since Kiselyov had recently interviewed [Azerbaijan President Ilham] Aliyev, who, along with other ‘exotic’ ideas, had not ruled out Azerbaijan’s membership in the EAEU [i.e. the Eurasian Economic Union, in which Armenia is a member]—of course ‘in light of the return of territories [to Azerbaijan]’, and he had ‘promised’ Karabakh an autonomous republic status ‘under the light’ of Azerbaijan.
“Russia is testing its and Kiselyov’s ‘projectiles’ during these days of [Donald] Trump’s election [as US President] and the changing game,” wrote Hraparak.
