It is forecasted, that on Black Friday sales in the US will increase by 3.6 percent or 655.8 billion dollars, writes the Financial Times. According to an analyst of Japanese company Nomura, Black Friday always raises alarm among retail sellers. Many retailers get involved in the sales under pressure, since stores offer great discounts on Black Friday to attract customers.

The newspaper writes that a large number of networks, including, Gap and Abercrombie & Fitch, have announced about tough trading conditions during holidays. Gap applies 50%, while Abercrombie 40% discount for all their products. It is also noted, that Black Friday has elicited adverse reactions among luxury brands, such as Coach, Ralph Lauren, and Michael Kors, which try to regain control over the pricing strategy and brand exclusivity, reducing the number of their stores.
