During the European Union (EU) leaders’ summit in December, we hope that there will be more balanced approaches toward relations with Turkey, and approaches that are seriously positive toward the future of the EU, said Numan Kurtulmuş, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey.

He reflected on the EU’s recent criticisms against Turkey, reported Milliyet daily of the country.

“I would like to stress that if Turkey’s relations with the EU move in a negative direction, the EU itself will suffer more than Turkey,”  noted Kurtulmuş. “I advise EU politicians to take steps toward restoring friendly relations with Turkey.”
