Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev had a telephonic conversation with his Turkish counterpart, Binali Yıldırım.

During the talk, they agreed to intensify the activities in the energy sector, including regarding the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant construction—in Turkey—and the Turkish Stream natural gas pipeline projects, informed the Russian government website.

The planned Turkish Stream gas pipeline is expected to run from Southern Russian Krasnodar Region across the Black Sea to Turkish Thrace.
