YEREVAN. – President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Tuesday received FLSmidth Group CEO Thomas Schulz.

FLSmidth Russia Market Development Manager Peter Davis, and Vallex Group Ltd. Chairman Valeri Mejlumyan also attended the talk.

The President hailed the activities of the mining enterprise led by FLSmidth Group—one of the leading companies in mining, in the Armenian market, as well as in the entire region. Cooperation between Armenia and FLSmidth is longstanding and it contributes to the economic growth of Armenia.

The CEO of FLSmidth Company, which will celebrate its 135th anniversary at the beginning of next year, spoke with admiration about the efficient ten-year cooperation with their main partner in Armenia: Vallex Group companies. He underscored that FLSmidth, which is equipped with modern technologies, operates successfully in Armenia, and with thanks also to the hardworking people of the country and qualified Armenian specialists.

The parties stressed the importance of using natural resources carefully and sparingly, and in accordance with all ecological requirements, for the benefit of the economic development and prosperity of the future generations.

At the meeting, President Sargsyan awarded Schulz with the Medal of Gratitude for his contribution to the development of the mining industry in Armenia and productive cooperation.

The President of Armenia also handed the Medal of Gratitude to Mejlumyan, which he had been awarded with earlier.
