The Azerbaijani court is soon to try the Orhan Safarov case. The sergeant killed three of his army mates.

Elmar Sabiroghlu, the Head of the Press Service, Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, reported that 23-year-old Safarov, who was called up last January, killed Talekh Khidayatov, Ramin Atashev and Shahriyar Gasanov at the firing ground in the military unit near the village of Seifali, Shamkhor region. He also wounded Pyunkhan Gasanov and Mustafa Saifulov. According to unofficial information, Safarov had been harassed by the victims.

Sabiroghlu stated the Ministry of Defense is extremely concerned over the “unpleasant incidents” in some military units in Azerbaijan.
