Fifteen people were killed and seventeen others—injured after a minibus fell into a deep gorge on Saturday, in the Jammu and Kashmir state in India, PTI news agency reported.

“The bodies of 15 people were taken out from the scene of the accident,” a local police representative informed. “Ten of the seventeen injured are in very critical condition; they were airlifted to Jammu.”

The driver had lost control over the vehicle.

Search and rescue operation is still in progress at the scene of the accident.
