Three people died and four were injured after a cargo plane crashed at Shanghai Pudong airport this morning, Xinhua News Agency reports.

All seven were crewmembers aboard the Zimbabwe registered plane, which caught fire at 8:12 a.m. local time today when it veered off the runway before taking off, Xinhua informs. No official information is available on cause of the accident. According to preliminary data, the aircraft touched airstrips with tail piece while attempting a takeoff. It could result from overloading or pilot’s error.
Crewmen nationality is not reported, however there were no Chinese citizens aboard. The plane was heading from Shanghai to Bishkek. Emergency services are working in the accident site. The airport operation was suspended for several hours, but restored back to normal.
