VANADZOR. – Majority of men leave abroad to work from Lusaghbyur village with over 1,200 residents, the community head Manvel Khachatryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
He added the main directions are agriculture and cattle breeding in the village.
According to him, migration is observed but it is seasonal. Men usually leave for Russia to work in construction. So far only five families have migrated forever.
The community is equipped with natural gas, but only 70% uses it. In the meantime, agricultural jobs start a bit later due to the geographic situation: it is 1,800m above the sea level.
