At Thursday’s Cabinet meeting, the government of Armenia approved the bill on addenda to the country’s law on licensing.

Minister of economy Vahan Kerobyan presented the matter, noting that some time ago their ministry had launched a study of the types of licensed activities in Armenia in order to make foreign companies’ participation in the country’s economic activities more accessible and affordable.

"As a result of this study, we set aside 13 types of activities for which we can permit offering easier licensing conditions to foreign companies. (…). Thus, we are considerably improving the business climate [in Armenia] and allowing foreign companies to participate more easily in economic activities in Armenia," the minister added, in particular.
