A biography of Steve Jobs which is to be released in November, reveals that his adoptive woman was Armenian by origin who emigrated to U.S. from the Turkish city of Malatya, Milliyet newspaper reports.

The family of Clara Jobs (née Hagopian) immigrated to U.S. from Turkey after the 1915 events.  

The newspaper said that “Steve Jobs: A Biography by Walter Isaacson” book revealed Clara’s father - Louis Hagopian was born in Malatya in 1894 and her mother Victoria Artinian was born in Izmir in 1894.

Apple Inc.’s founder and billionaire Steve Jobs passed away on Wednesday night at the age of 56. Even though he was one of the world’s greatest businessmen, he could not defeat cancer.

Steve Jobs was born on February 24, 1955 in Mountain View, California. Jobs spent his childhood and teenage years with Paul and Clara (Hakobian) Jobs, who had adopted him.
