The weapons systems operator of a US Air Force F-15E fighter jet that was shot down over Iran on April 3 and two helicopter crew members participating in the rescue operation were injured, announced General Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces, AP reports.

It is specified that the HH-60 Jolly Green II helicopters came under fire all from Iranian nationals carrying small arms.
