YEREVAN. – Session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Intergovernmental Group of Experts kicked off Monday in Geneva, Switzerland. And a delegation from the Armenian State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition (ASCPEC) also is attending the event.

Every year the Conference publicizes its expert’s report on the rule and policy of competition, ASCPEC press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

Also, an expert’s report will be presented on Mongolia’s rule and policy of competition, during this year’s Conference, and ASCPEC Chief of Staff Tigran Khechoyan will offer his suggestions for this report.     

And the key topic of discussions will be the protection of consumers’ interests. In addition, the discussants will also explore the possible steps toward revealing the anti-competitive agreements in the state purchases in transition economies.     

To note, a report was delivered on Armenia’s policy of competition, during the aforesaid Conference held in 2010, and this was considered the best for the next two years.
