YEREVAN. – Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan addressed a congratulatory message to Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on his reelection to this office.

“The people of Artsakh once again entrusted to you their future, the assurance of security and stability, development and strengthening. The course of your life is a complete struggle in the name of Artsakh’s liberation and strengthening of the independent statehood. I am confident that you will continue what was started in the name of Artsakh.  

I wish you new success and the fulfillment of the plans and objectives that are set before you,” the PM’s message specifically reads. 

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, according to preliminary data, 72,958 from the 99,227 eligible voters cast their ballots in the NKR presidential elections on Thursday. And incumbent NKR President Bako Sahakyan won the elections by receiving a great majority of the votes.

According to preliminary figures, Sahakyan received 47,095 votes, NKR National Assembly MP Vitali Balasanyan received 22,967 votes, and Deputy Director Arkadi Soghomonyan of Academic Activities at the NKR capital Stepanakert Branch of State Agrarian University of Armenia received 593 votes. A total of 2,302 ballots were declared invalid, and the number of inaccuracies was 4.
