The Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II on Sunday received, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the graduating-year students of the Marie Manoogian College of the Argentinean chapter of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) as well as a group of scouts from the AGBU Toronto, Canada, Chapter and the students from the Saint Sahag and Saint Mesrob Saturday School of the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church of Toronto.

First, the accompanying clergy members introduced the young Diaspora-Armenian pilgrims to the Catholicos and informed that these youth come to Armenia and the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin every year on a pilgrimage.

In his turn, Karekin II expressed confidence that these youth will undergo a period of inspiration and change in spirit in Armenia because these visits put a powerful stamp on their souls.

The Catholicos also underscored the need for establishing strong ties and cooperation between the youth of Armenia and the Armenian diaspora. And he noted that each and every Diaspora-Armenian youth must become closely connected with Armenia.

The Armenian youth from Argentina and Canada also attended the Sunday Divine Liturgy offered at the Holy Etchmiadzin Cathedral and visited the Mother See’s museum.
