VANADZOR. – Total of 332 alarms of fire was registered during the first term of this year, as compared to 65 alarms at the same period last year.

Only 315 cases, however, were fire alarms, while the rest were either false or controlling cases.

According to the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations Lori rescuer section head Hrach Antonyan, majority of fire cases, total of 242, occurred in forests, 11 in residential buildings and 62 in other buildings.

To note, number of fires increased by 254 in the first term this year, out of which 159 occurred in April.

Year by year increasing fires lead to quite serious problems, as some types of animals just disappear.
