YEREVAN. – Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the Marseilles deputy Mayor, Armenian by origin, Didier Parakian, who is on a working visit to Yerevan with his spouse.

“I believe during the visit you will see that there are wide opportunities in Yerevan regarding enlargement of cooperation, which you will tell our colleagues in Marseilles. I do praise high 20 years of cooperation and friendship between our two cities and I believe that they will develop and deepen in the coming years,” Margaryan said.

Expressing his gratitude for warm reception and extending the Marseilles Mayor Jean-Claude Gaudin’s regards, Parakian said that Yerevan has indeed changed for the better.

The official said many changes in such a short period surprised him. Parakian also informed about preparation for Marseilles Mayor’s official visit to Yerevan, which is scheduled for next year.
